Synopsis.
During the Longhua period, eunuch Xiao Duo plotted with Fu Wang to help him sit on the throne. Bu Yinlou was supposed to be buried with the late Emperor but she is rescued by Xiao Duo.
Bu Yunlou, a lady-in-waiting, was meant to be the emperor’s woman. Due to her status, she was supposed to follow him in death but Xiao Duo saves her because she has caught the eye of Fu Wang. She then stays at Xiao’s manor and they grow closer over time. However, they cannot reveal their feelings.
Xiao Duo goes to Jiangnan to oversee silk trade with foreign envoys. Yinlou accompanies him as she goes south to find her relatives. At this time, they fall even deeper in love and finally confess their feelings for each other. However, the road is full of obstacles with Nanyuan Wang’s threats and the emperor in the palace, one mistake can lead to death. For the greater good, Yinlou sacrifices herself and decides to enter the palace. Xiao Duo who is left in the dark misunderstands her intentions. Two people in love can only show forbearance… what will become of their fates?
