The Golden hairpin extends number of episodes.

The much anticipated The Golden Hairpin (簪中录) Chinese drama starring Yang Zi and Kris Wu has obtained its broadcast licence. It is now stated to have 60 episodes instead of 35. Rumours says the drama will air on Tencent video and CCTV channel.

Synopsis:

Huang Zi Xia (Yang Zi) is a young woman with a prodigal talent for solving crimes. Using her natural detective skills, she helped her father get to the bottom of a number of perplexing mysteries, and caught many a scheming criminal out.

But the shoe is soon on the other foot when her family is murdered ahead of her arranged marriage – leaving her as the chief suspect. She escapes, but is forced to go undercover as she attempts to foil the real killer and prove her innocence.Her journey leads her to the Kui kingdom, where she encounters Li Shu Bai (Kris Wu), the Prince of the Kui.

The Prince agrees to let her work in his service, disguised as a male eunuch.But soon a new murder mystery emerges: A serial killer is loose, and brings chaos to the realm.When the Prince’s wife vanishes, with just a golden hairpin left behind as a clue, Huang Zi Xia must use her skills to investigate – only to learn that the royal court is a dangerous place, full of dark mysteries and unexpected secrets.

“The Golden Hairpin” is a 2021 Chinese drama series that was directed by Lin Yu Fen and Guo Hu.
