Synopsis.
Tang Weiwei had intended to pursue a doctorate but her family was not only against it, they also expected her to be married before the age of 28. At a time when Tang Weiwei was anxious and distressed from all the feelings that she has kept bottled up, Lin Ran who is like a little brother to her walks into her life.
Tang Weiwei (Joey Chua) graduated with a postgraduate degree in psychology when she was 27 years old. She planned to continue her studies by pursuing a PhD. However, Tang Weiwei’s father took her diploma and crushed his daughter’s doctorate dream. He also demanded that Tang Weiwei must get herself married before the age of 28.
Tang Weiwei had just gone through a breakup. The pressure from her father and being forced to give up her studies leads Tang Weiwei to detest marriage and reject the thought of opening up to someone new. Despite being a psych graduate, Tang Weiwei finds that she herself is suffering from an emotional disorder. Thereafter, she decides to do the most random thing by starting up a business and opening up her own dessert shop called “Heard”.
Tang Weiwei has just stepped into society after years of schooling. Unaccustomed to her new life, she faces countless trials and challenges and feels as though the whole world is against her until Lin Ran (Zhou Yiran) appears. He is five years younger than her and still the foolish kid from her memories, yet he uses all his warmth and light to light up her world.
