Miss the dragon - chinese drama world

First Impressions.

On the first episode I was impressed by the OST and the quality of the video. The drama kind of reminded me of the eternal love aka ten miles of peach blossoms. The part where the dragon king got injured is the same as the part where Ye Hua (Mark Chao) was saved by Qian Qian (Yang Mi) in the mortal world. This drama really caught my eye in an instant. This is actually the first time I watched a Dylan Wang drama and from the first episode, I was impressed by his performance. In the beginning, I had difficulties trying to figure out and differentiate between immortals and demons.

When it comes to chemistry between characters, Miss the Dragon is the same as The Long Ballad. The second leads have the best chemistry and they’re almost the only reason why I keep watching the drama. The character of Xue QianXian as a cold Lord, played by Deng Wei is quite impressive. This is actually his debut in the industry and he has made a good impression worldwide (did you know that?). His story with Qing Qing is worth my time and attention, I can’t even hide the fact that the Qing Qing character is portrayed well by Pan Meiye.

Xue Qianxian and Qian Qian

I loved the development of the relationship between Xue Qianxian and Dragon King when they were trying to learn about mortal love. The competition between these two is really interesting to watch and the scene where Xue Qianxian and Fate immortal pretended to be Ayu, was priceless.

I was tired of watching the same character of Liying in two different lives but the third life was just awesome. They gave us something new to talk about but then they placed the story of second leads on slow motion. A good storyline mustn’t only place much of its focus on one character/couple but hey, they’re the main roles.

I starting to get bored by the storyline since there was no villain throughout the drama until it reached the end. I was stunned by the story twist and the hidden villain in drama when he was exposed. Of course I won’t tell you who is the villain ( watch the drama if you want to know who is the villain). One thing I’ve learnt from the drama is ‘ never mess with the Dragon King’ (he fights like no body’s business).

Miss the dragon

The soul of Yun has brought up trouble for three worlds. The last four episodes reminded me of Love and Redemption because the heavens weren’t played the Dragon King just like Baidi who played star mosha. it really showed that righteous people always think they are doing the right thing. I also was touched by what happened to Qian Qian and Xue Qianxian in the past, the injustice they suffered is really touching but they manage to breakthrough.

I can honestly say this is a good drama even though I was bored along the way but the ending is exciting and it has epic battles. I rate it 7/10 and recommend it to everyone especially beginners because the storyline isn’t that confusing.

  1. Same here! Even I also loved the twist in the tale! Even though the second leads were better written than the mains, I actually watched the whole think for Yuchi Longyan, Xue Qianxun, and Qingqing when they were together because they were just hilarious! I also loved the third lifetime, because fro the two damsels in distress, she becomes a feminist icon, as well as the part where the Immortal of Fate and Xue Qianxun disguise as Ayu 🤣 And ofc, for the love of Dylan Wang 😉

  2. I'm currently watching this drama and honestly, I love the chemistry of the two main lead characters. LOL they're so adorable that's really what makes me want to continue watching this drama. Thank you for your review on this drama.
