Firstly let’s talk about the costume designs in the drama. The design of the costumes is quite simple and interesting, I actually love those hats they wear. have you noticed that Zhao Lusi in episode 1 was wearing an attire similar to the one she was wearing in The romance of tiger and rose and also Oh my emperor? I bet you didn’t notice!
The first episode really had me quite confused from the beginning. We see Li Change chased by a group of people and she falls from the bridge after being shot with an arrow. I failed to understand if that was just a glimpse of the future or the past.
As I watched second episode I began to understand where the drama was going. Second episode was an eye opener because I finally learnt the relationship between the characters. I also got to know how and where the problem started, you can say episode 2 is important.
I haven’t yet watched episode 10+ but I have a feeling that I will be repeating this drama a couple of times just like I did with love and redemption, it’s not even surprising at all because we have Dilraba and Zhao Lusi in the cast!
I must say, Prince Qin is actually a good villain. Prince Qin is a character played by Le Geng and he also portrait a great villain character as the leader of Disha in legend of fei
I’d definitely recommend The long ballad to all Chinese drama fans including beginners because it has everything you need in a drama
