Synopsis.
A story that arises from a pawn shop robbery case follows a water deliveryman and a policeman who go from acquaintances to friends.
Ma Dongsheng who has been laid off dons a mask to rob a shop after his daughter Ma Jin suddenly comes down with a serious illness. Li Bing, who owns the shop once raped Ma Dongsheng’s apprentice. Meanwhile, Yu Chao, the police captain in charge of the case, is an acquaintance.
The robbery case eventually leads to a corruption and drug trafficking case. Li Bing’s brother-in-law, Deputy Mayor Chen Zitao, tries every means to cover up the truth even to the extent of finding a fall guy. To everyone’s surprise, Ma Dongsheng does not simply escape. He writes an anonymous letter to Yu Chao to disclose the conspiracy and promises to surrender and it is also the last chance Yu Chao has left for him.
