Regarding the rumors that Song Zuer cheated on her college entrance exam, her studio clarified the situation:

“After returning from high school abroad, Ms. Song Zuer registered for the art exams and college entrance exams as a social candidate in 2018. Her college entrance exam scores were accurate, and she exceeded the admission threshold that year, securing a place at the Beijing Film Academy. She did not engage in any illegal acts of cheating or use false certificates to qualify for the Tianjin college entrance exam.

The education department thoroughly investigated these allegations for several months after receiving a report from an individual with ulterior motives. They found no irregularities in the entire process and formally confirmed to the industry regulatory department that the blog post published by Weibo user 小宴小西 was a baseless rumor and amounted to slander, causing significant harm to Ms. Song Zuer’s reputation.

Our studio has preserved all relevant evidence. From the date of this statement, we will take all legal measures necessary to protect Ms. Song Zuer’s legal rights and interests from any malicious infringement, including but not limited to filing lawsuits.”

With her name now cleared, Song Zuer and her team are preparing to take legal action against those who have spread false information about her. This series of events highlights the damaging effects of online rumors and the importance of verifying facts before making public accusations. Song Zuer’s fight for justice serves as a reminder of the consequences faced by those who engage in defamation and slander in the digital age.
