Synopsis.
A story that follows an ominous woman who vows to avenge the only friend who treated her kindly. She infiltrates the Chao Kingdom with the intention to kill the emperor who has fallen for her.
In ancient times on the Yebei grasslands lived two women Ye Lingshuang and Qi Hairui. Although Ye Lingshuang was shunned and despised for being an ominous person, she had Qi Hairui, the princess of Yebei who never once looked down on her and even treated her like a sister. Ye Lingshuang is determined to pledge a lifetime of loyalty to the princess.
Needing an excuse to start a war with Yebei, the emperor of Chao Kingdom proposes marriage to Qi Hairui knowing that she would definitey refuse. In order to save her people, Qi Hairui resolutely jumps off a cliff. Ye Lingshuang witnesses the collapse of the entire Yebei tribe and vows to avenge the death of Qi Hairui. She assumes the name Bailu to enter the palace yet fails multiple times in her attempts to assassinate the Chao Emperor.
