It has already been over three years ever since the announcement of an upcoming Chinese drama called ‘Zhao Ge’. Zhao Ge is written and produced by Yu Zheng. Zhaoge is about the life of Ji Fa, son of Ji Chang from Xiqi, is a hostage prince in Zhaoge. His rise to become legendary Emperor. Zhao Ge took 300 million yen to produce and with six months of filming, with eight months of pre-production. The shooting of the drama was wrapped up in February 2017.

The drama’s release date was always a rumour and the last date rumoured was December 2019 but, the drama didn’t air. There is also no sign of Zhao Ge coming to our screens soon even its Weibo account hasn’t been active for a while now. Whatever that is delaying the drama to be aired must be big to stop a 300 million project. I don’t know about others but, it will be nice to have a drama like this on screen.
